On August 23 in Hong Kong, Al-Ahli defeated Al-Nassr in a dramatic Saudi Super Cup final, winning on penalties after a 2–2 draw in regular time.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al-Nassr with a first-half penalty, but Franck Kessié equalized just before the break. Goals from Marcelo Brozović and Roger Ibañez made it 2–2, sending the match to a shootout.
Ronaldo scored his penalty, but a crucial miss from Al-Khaibari handed Al-Ahli the win. It's Al-Ahli’s second Super Cup title, their first since 2016. For Ronaldo, it’s another missed chance at a recognized trophy with Al-Nassr.
