Bayern thrash Leipzig 6–0 as Kane hits hat-trick in season opener
Bayern Munich began their Bundesliga title defence in style with a dominant 6–0 win over RB Leipzig. Harry Kane scored a second-half hat-trick—his eighth in the Bundesliga—while Michael Olise netted twice and Luis Díaz added his first league goal.
Bayern stormed ahead with three goals in 15 minutes before halftime, with Olise and Díaz leading the charge. Kane then took over in the second half, scoring three goals from just three shots.
Bayern extended their unbeaten run on Bundesliga opening days to 25 years and will face Wehen Wiesbaden next in the DFB-Pokal. Leipzig meet Heidenheim in their next league fixture.
