Liverpool forward rejected FC Bayern Munich move during Luis Diaz transfer
Luis Díaz leaves Liverpool for Bayern Munich, Chiesa rejects Bayern move Luis Díaz departed Liverpool this summer, joining Bayern Munich in a £65.5 million deal after failing to secure a new contract. The Colombian forward won every domestic trophy during his time at Anfield. His exit is part of a major attacking reshuffle under new manager Arne Slot, with Darwin Núñez also leaving for Al-Hilal. During negotiations for Díaz, Bayern inquired about Federico Chiesa, hoping to bring him in on loan. However, Chiesa made it clear he was fully committed to Liverpool, refusing to even meet with Bayern representatives and firmly rejecting any talks. Liverpool and Everton battle for Lyon’s Fofana, Nusa seen as alternative Everton have had a £31.5m bid rejected for Lyon’s 20-year-old forward Rayan Fofana, while Liverpool are now considering a rival offer, with the added pull of Champions League football. Lyon want €50m (£43.7m) including add-ons. Fofana scored 11 goals and provided six assists last season. If the deal proves too costly, Liverpool could instead move for RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa, also 20, who could be available for around €35m (£30.6m). Rodrygo, Fofana, and Nusa are among several attacking targets currently being evaluated by Liverpool’s management.
